Accreditation and Rating system of Middle Eastern Dance
For experienced dancers who want to find a deeper level of expression with their dance, Tahja has developed an accreditation and rating system for Middle Eastern Dance, allowing dancers to identify and improve weak areas to bring their dance to a peak level of perfection.
Modeled after the ballroom dance medal system utilized internationally of “bronze, silver, gold and international” to designate levels of achievement, the rating is based on the growth within oneself. It is not an art form based on competing against other dancers, as the dance is about one’s own self expression, which is unique to each individual.
Rating by a panel of experts of specific criteria designed by Tahja challenges the dancer to new heights of achievement in specific areas of performance.
Rating is done by request of the student, or by recommendation by the teacher.
Tahja has also developed a 2 year certification program for serious dancers.
